JEN WALIA
Development AssociateJen joined SMART in Spring of 2007. She received her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, with a minor in Philosophy, from Boston University as well as her Masters Degree in War Studies from King's College in London, UK. Since moving to the Bay Area, she has worked as a consultant for the California Microbicide Initiative, where she continues to volunteer as the Bay Area's Outreach Coordinator. Previous to this position, she worked as a Development Assistant at Cleveland Clinic Foundation and then as a Project Manager at Managed Medical Assurance Company in Ohio. She brings to SMART her strong administrative skills in event-planning, project management, and community outreach, as well as her enthusiasm in working in the non-profit arena. Outside of work, Jen enjoys running, traveling, reading, and hopefully, someday - cooking!
