BILL FRICKER
Executive Director

Bill received his Master in Management from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management. His undergraduate degree was also earned from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. After graduate school, he returned to the Bay Area and began a career path that spanned twelve years with client-driven consulting/service organizations. In 2001 he decided to take the professional skills he had developed and apply them to an opportunity in the non-profit sector, accepting the position of Director of Operations for Support for Families of Children with Disabilities in San Francisco. He acted in this capacity for three years before becoming Executive Director at Schools, Mentoring and Resource Team (SMART) in March of 2004.

To him, the most appealing aspect of SMART is the opportunity to support the cause of education while helping others who are motivated to succeed. He also looks forward to providing leadership for the staff and mission of SMART while encouraging on-going relationships and interactions with partner schools, local corporations and individual donors. Bill lives in San Francisco with his twin daughters who attend San Francisco Day School.
